myGPS Map Camera has no account system or developer-operated backend. Photos, notes, API keys and settings are stored on your device.
The app reads precise location while its camera is open. It uses that data to preview and stamp coordinates, addresses, maps, weather and related telemetry onto photos and into JPEG EXIF metadata.
Coordinates are sent over HTTPS to OpenStreetMap Nominatim for reverse geocoding and to OpenStreetMap or Google Static Maps for map thumbnails. If you provide an OpenWeatherMap key, coordinates are also sent to OpenWeatherMap. These requests do not include your photo, notes or author text. Those providers process requests under their own privacy policies.
Captured photos are saved in the app's local storage and, when you allow it, in your Photos library. The app does not upload photos. Sharing occurs only when you choose a destination from the system share sheet.
Google Analytics for Firebase records app and feature usage. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash details, stack traces and basic device and OS information so faults can be fixed. These services do not receive your photos, precise coordinates or stamp text. The app does not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple builds do not link advertising-ID support.
Deleting the app removes its settings and locally stored photos. Copies already saved to Photos remain until you delete them there. Firebase applies its own service retention periods to analytics and crash diagnostics.
